Hanani knows what he wants....

Hanani knows exactly what he wants and has really strong preferences.  I've been giving in to him when it's not important or a big deal.  Today he left wearing his Shabbos vest over his clothing since he requested to wear it, and he carried away a Mega shopping bag with a water bottle & I think he threw in his breakfast leftovers in a plastic bag.

Very Weird Morning for eggs

First I cracked open a blood-spotted egg-that's pretty rare....

and then after 1 normal egg, I found one with 2 yolks....

wonder if that means anything besides the fact that Hanani eats too many eggs.

Happy Birthday Hanani!

We've entered into the birthday season.  Hanani's English birthday was yesterday.  His Hebrew birthday is on Purim.  We are making his "gan" party on Sunday (which is my birthday).  I am making a spongebob cake.  I'm hoping it goes well. If it goes well, I will make it again for his birthday party on Shushan Purim.  I'm worried he'll want a party everyday after he has two, but we'll see how it goes.

Hanani and I had fun at the park yesterday till he broke down and took of his shoes and cried for food.  

Sick ...Sick ...Sick

We are all sick to varying degrees. Hanani is home today and spending most of the day in bed since when he's awake he just screams and coughs.

I'm feeling under the weather. My nose keeps getting stuffed up. Yossie claims to be feeling icky too.

The podcast wasn't done this week. I really needed a nap Friday afternoon to be functional and we were both pretty exhausted Saturday night. I proposed an election day special. I kind of doubt we will be up to it. I'm so behind in work hours...

Update

Not much is new and exciting around here.

Hanani was sick last week, but is back to 100% now.

Hanani and I have been going to the park everyday lately after I pick him up. He loves it, but the most important thing to him is "where is the food?" He goes through my bag looking for snacks. If he doesn't like what I brought, he gets angry. Yesterday we had to leave the park after he finished all the food since he was still hungry so he wanted to go home for more.


This week we registered him for gan for next year. We went with Gan Amalya. We love that it is so close to our home (a 5-7 minute walk I'm guessing). It is a Hebrew speaking gan. I'm excited that he will start speaking Hebrew. It's hard to imagine because he still doesn't speak much at all.

I'm working this Friday morning at my job in the German Colony. I would appreciate any tips how to cook easy and delicious food quickly for Shabbat since we are having 2 guys from yeshiva as guests + maybe Jonathan.
